Two Blog Posts for the Price of One: Gothabilly? and Tim Burton Secretary

Warning: This Post is Picture Heavy

Dress: H&M, like four years ago
Necklace: White House Black Market, where I work!
Cardigan: Thrifted, originally Target

So this is my attempt at Gothabilly (am I spelling that right?) Most of the pictures of seen of that style seem to be 50's silhouettes but 40's silhouettes look better on me. Maybe I'll start a new trend? It's what I wore to work Saturday, but I didn't get back until 10 something so that's why one I'm posting it today and two it's in the kitchen. Also because it was like a mini-pinup shoot.

(Yes I know my ass looks bit in this picture, it really is that big.)

Slip: Vintage
Shoes: Thrifted, originally Steve Madden

Earrings: Forever 21, again

Hair flower: I think a shop in Japan Town

Top: Thrifted
Skirt: Thrifted

This is what I wore to work today. My roommate/photographer and I decided it was like a Tim Burton secretary look.

Blazer: Sears

Hair Flower: Claires

Shoes: My roommates, the black version of the red ones I wore on Friday

Bonus picture! Zelda, one of our two cats being adorable.

Red and Black Day 6: Going Out and About

Dress: Goodwill (similar)
Sash: From a skirt I got in China

I didn't have work today so I decided to head down to Haight Ashbury with one of my close friends, Teena. We popped over to this tiny Pagan store that's a block or two away from Haight Street. She knows the owner so It was super nice to just sit there for a bit and chat. I had fun dressing up again just to go out. I'm wearing another jacket that I've had for ages and don't wear enough. It's hard to wear short-sleeved jackets in SF but it was actually nice out today. Also my photographer is back, so I have detail shots again!

Shoes: My roommate's (similar)

Jacket: Target (similar styles)
Brooch: A little antique store in upstate New York (similar)

Hair Ribbon: Some craft store, probably JoAnn's (similar)
Rose earrings: Forever 21 (similar)
Drop earrings: Forever 21 (similar)

Red and Black Week Day 5: Circus Inspiration

Shirt: Target
Jacket: Clothing Swap (similar)
Hat: Fanime, I don't remember the shop. (similar)
Shoes: Target (more red patent pumps)

All I did today was run errands but I felt like dressing up because hey, why not? I didn't actually wear the shoes running errands. Those I just put on for the pictures cause they look pretty. This outfit is actually inspired by this one from, Miss Gracie of Goth in College. I've had both the jacket and the skirt for awhile and haven't worn them, so I couldn't resist wearing them for red and black week.

Red and Black Week Day 4: Sick in Bed

I had a whole plan to get all nice and dressed up and to go run errands. Instead I wake up with a massive sinus headache and feeling like I got run over by a truck. So instead you get this. But hey at least I still fit the theme. And I'm pattern mixing too. This is what I do for you internet, be grateful.

My First Theme Week: Sophistique Noir's Red and Black Week

T-Shirt: Target (similar)
Jeans: Forever 21 (similar)
Shoes: Cotton On
Bandana: Walgreens (similar)

This is my first time participating in a theme week and I'm so excited. I missed the first two days because I was down at my parents and didn't have any red with me. Not that I really have much red to begin with. This shirt is one of my two red shirts. I have plenty of black, red not so much. I have just enough to get me through this week. So this will be interesting, interesting and tons of fun! Also my photographer is gone today, so no fancy detail shots except for my shoes.
